What is it
Transformational consulting is a unique combination of trainings, anti-racist facilitation, aspects of group coaching and executive coaching, and technical assistance to help organizations, agencies, and networks achieve the understanding and concepts needed to make the next step toward intentional, time-bound implementation of racial equity and anti-racist results. It consists of medium to long-term support, and typically takes place between six months to one year, or can occur over a multiple-year time span.
The selection of transformational consulting is generally a good fit if the client is serious about committing to operationalizing racial equity throughout their organization, government agency, or network in a thoughtful, systematic way. Transformational consulting is a journey, and requires a deep review of 'what is under the hood' per se. All for the purposes of reforming, refining, and restructuring the ways that institutions operate and live into anti-racist ideals.

Why it's important
Transformational consultating creates the time and space to go the deepest into operationalizing racial equity and anti-racism. It is an opportunity for the entire staff or members to receive support and be involved in the process to co-labor with management. As such, a shift in culture to establish, maintain and strengthen anti-racism amongst colleagues is very likely because the change is happening throughout the entire institution, in an intentional, systemic way.
For government agencies or policymakers, transformational consultation is an opportunity to receive specialized support to systemize processes, procedures, and infrastructure to inform the way that their agencies, fellow policymakers, or jurisdiction achieves racially equitable outcomes in legislation and service programs in an anti-racist way. This is important for changing the culture within a government agency, and also with the way that government agencies and policymakers work and operate with one another.
